I have been dealing with reactive and sensitized skin since my late teens. Now almost 32 I finally have found a cleanser that works for me. I really do appreciate a powerful non-foaming cleanser... and trust they are a rare find. Often times, most cleansers are riddled with a harsh surfactant as their first ingredient. The fact that this wash uses a super gentle one and it's low on the ingredients list speaks volume as to the sensitive nature. Don't be deceived, it definitely does a beautiful thorough cleanse as well. I have had a few deeper cysts since switching to the wash which I attribute to my skin adjusting. HOWEVER, the fact it truly has helped with the inflammation is worth the "purge period". I previously had tried Dermalogica and was recommended the special cleansing gel. For the first week it was amazing but then my skin became red and irritated and had ZERO moisture. As a previous accutane patient with a history of tretinoin use, the gel was too much. This was is the PERFECT answer for a deep cleanse without being stripped. It does not leave a film on your face which I appreciate as well. Simply a balanced clean canvas to apply your favorite moisturizer. I pair it with the active moist as it is super lightweight (btw reactive skin sufferers, don't pile on heavy stuff it traps the heat). Overall super psyched to continue with my current regimen: Ultracalming cleanser, active moist, SPF booster, and skin prep scrub (I use it twice a week at most).
