I am new to dermalogica and really wanted to like this lotion but this along with the eye cream did not work well with my skin. After a few uses my eyes became puffy and iritated and it almost looked like I was having an allergic reaction. I had to stop using both products and it took me several weeks to get my skin to return to normal.
This moisturizer is great for dry skin. My skin used to be flakey and gross. Now it is moisturizer and glowing. I would advise using a toner to help it absorb faster.
If you have a dry skin, you will love this moisturizer.. i love the feeling after using it.. not greasy at all..

It was really important to me that I use a skin care line that does not test on animals and is cruelty free. I tried several cruelty free brands that were good, but not the right fit for my skin. When I ordered a sampler of the dry skin products and tried the intensive moisture balance, I was hooked. It makes my skin feel and look hydrated and I know I'm using a product that really works. It does what it claims and they do not test on animals, and that is the number one thing that I look for in any kind of health and beauty product. The price is slightly more than what I would want to pay, but I don't mind because this product really does work and is worth it.
For dry skin only. Too thick for oily skin. With that said, does not clog pores and cause break outs. I love to use it at night to replenish my skin.

I deal with eczema patches on my face and this cleared it up quick! It is perfect for harsh winters especially for people with dry skin.

Long lasting moisturizer that isn't too heavy, and my face does not get oily throughout the day.
The only downside of this product may be its price, around $72 with the tax where I live but I am not going to take a star off for that reason because I wash and moisturize my face two times a day and this product lasts 2.5 months for me.
I am not used to having dry skin because I was born and raised in a coastal city so my skin is not used to the dust, dirt and dry weather and you can find them all at the same time in West Texas. I had never used any kind of moisturizer either on my face or on my body until I moved to Texas and started having skin problems. I have combination skin, T zone oily/the rest is normal. My dermatologist recommended a drugstore brand moisturizer. It felt so heavy on my face. Then I tried the other fancy brands in Ulta and Sephora. None of them was as moisturizing as this one for winter here and I like the fact that this is in a tube so you don't have to put your finger in it and get the moisturizer contaminated with bacteria.
Since one tube of this moisturizer lasts 2.5 months for me, I need this twice a year and later I use the active moist which is super moisturizing and light for spring, summer and early fall here.
This moisturizer is in a tube, it doesn't clog my pores and it is so rich but not heavy. For this reason, it is worth every penny.
Can't have a skin care routine when the product is routinely out of stock! This is upsetting
