I've only used this once, i washed my face with the clearing wash from the same product line then used this, aftrr i put my makeup on top with no primer. I normally Get shiney on my chin and T-Zone... the whole day i looked so matt! I had hardly any oil come through and my makeup looked so matt throughout the whole day didnt even need any touch ups.
Only downside is it does dry very quickly and also very runny. I actually dropped alot on the floor, so be careful when taking out the bottle its very runny.
I have been using this product for the last 2 years. Prior to this my forehead was constantly oily and prone to spots. Now after using this alongside the special cleansing gel, I am very happy with my skin.
Helps keep my oily forehead skin at bay even in the summer!
This is the best product for oil control. The mattifier is nice but it has acid in it. This does the same thing but without that burn from the acid after using it a couple of times. Wonderful under makeup- the best product.
Comments about oil control lotion:
I like this oil control lotion because it's gentle but still does the job. Some oil control lotions strip my skin and leave it red and sensitive. I use this every morning after washing with the clay cleanser, and it really works well to decrease the oiliness of my skin.
I liked it, but my skin is dryer already. I liked the active moist better.
I've got combination skin so oily t-zone normal sometimes dehydrated cheeks. I find it extremely difficult to fine a moisturiser that works, either there too rich and they make me break out or too matte and they dry my skin out however with this moisturiser it works amazingly, I taught it might be too drying because it's meant for oily skins but I'm so happy it works for me, it just balances out my skin, before using this moisturiser my skin would be oily straight away after cleansing in the morning now it's just balance throughtout the day and I don't wake up with oily horrible skin in the morning, this is my favourite Dermalogica product.
My skin condition is break out and oily.
My skin become better and not shiny after I use this moisturizers !love it!! ❤
The texture of this product is light, so it's very good for my oily acne skin
Just started using this as my summer moisturizer. I use it after the skin hydrating booster and before SPF (Pure Light) to control my oily skin now that it's getting warmer. Really pleased with it. I was worried the salicylic acid would cause my skin to dry out but that has not happened!

I suffer from moderate adult acne (some cystic), but my skin is consistently pretty dehydrated as well. My t-zone does get oily towards the end of the day. I need a moisturizer that sufficiently hydrates my dry skin without being too heavy/rich for my acne-prone skin. I am not sure if I should try a moisturizer from the Medibac line (oil control lotion/oil-free matte), as I would like the added acne-focused treatment; but am worried that they won't be hydrating enough. On the other hand, I am not sure if another moisturizer (active moist/skin smoothing cream/intensive moisture balance/etc.) would be light enough for daytime use under makeup, or could increase the likelihood of breakouts. Can you help me pick a moisturizer? I currently use Medibac Overnight Clearing Gel at night and previously used AGE Smart Dynamic Skin Recovery as my moisturizer. Thank you so very much!!1 answer

I just wanted to double check that this product is non-acnegenic and oil free. Sounds silly, but I have been using a sample and noticed some skin congestion. However, it's not uncommon to go through a transition period. Currently using special cleansing gel and a gentle toner by Mario Badescu.
