I received Hydrablur as a free sample. I was a little bit leery because I am sometimes allergic to such products, but this cream is amazing and actually beneficial to my face. It minimizes wrinkles (I am 79.) and covers "age spots" so that foundation makeup is not necessary. Love it!!
I've been using Dermalogica products for over 15 years now and am excited to try new products as they are developed. I initially received a sample of Hydrablur Primer with my regular order and set it aside, as I've been using the Skinperfect Primer for quite some time with great results. On a day when my schedule was pretty packed and my skin was showing some fatigue, I took a break to mist my fact with the Antioxidant Hydramist, then add a couple dots of Dynamic Skin Recovery. I picked up the Hydrablur Primer sample and used it around my mouth area, sides of my nose and just a tiny dot under each eye. What an amazing difference! It smoothed fine lines and softened a couple of larger pores, making my skin look overall less tired and smoothed. I take very good care of my skin, using Dermalogica products from start to finish. I'll be fifty this year and live in a dry climate, so I'm careful to moisturize throughout the day. What's so nice about having Hydrablur Primer as another option is that I can use it over light foundation or concealer without it affecting the color balance. I have eastern european, ivory skin, if that helps others to know what this primer compliments. For me, it provides a bit of a shimmery glow when used last on top of other products. As with most Dermalogica products, a little goes a long way. Try it out sometime as a brightening smoother.

I used to use Bare Minerals primer and loved the lightweight feel of it. I received this primer in a sample bag from a friend's spa and WOW! This helps cover up my large pores, my skin doesn't look oily mid-day, and my makeup lasts! I just placed an order today for a full size tube.
I love the way this makes my skin feel, but it has a strange color tint. I have very fair skin and this strange color stands out in certain spots on my face. After I apply (with my fingertips), my hands are orange-ish. I prefer more translucent primers.

I am 67 years old. I don't like heavy makeup at anytime. I want to look as natural as possible without showing all my imperfections. The hydrablur primer is a great start. I can wear it alone. My skin and I look great. You must have a good Dermalogica Skin Care treatment in order to have good results with hydrablur primer. It won't cover up uncared for skin. It's not a cover up/concealer. Hydrablur is a great product, the results are a nice smooth illumination of your face.

I love this product. It leaves my skin feeling and looking so smooth. I use it after moisturizing and before makeup. On days that I want less coverage I use this alone after moisturizer.
I received a sample of this, and discovered it is the best primer over eye cream to keep my concealer from creasing during the day - this helps hide the fine lines that are appearing around my eyes and really keeps my under eyes looking smooth all day!

I refused to wear primer before I came across hydra blur primer. This product is so amazing that I sometimes only wear this after I cleanse my face & do not put any make up on. It has been my go to & I am obsessed. My skin is left silky & smooth. I absolutely love it.

Is this a good primer for oily skin? I try to stay away from "moisturizing" primers as my skin does not need more moisture. I'm currently using dermal clay cleanser and active moist as my moisturizer, just wondering if I should try this one or a different primer? All primers mattify oil for a little while...but if it's too moisturizing I am shiney again within an hour or so. Living in such a humid city it is so difficult to control excessive oil!1 answer
