After cleansing, apply generously to face and throat, avoiding the eye area. You may experience slight tingling. After 3 to 5 minutes, lightly massage with very wet hands to enhance exfoliation properties during removal. Rinse thoroughly.

Even though I'm in my 60's and fighting aging I still have issues with acne. After reading reviews I decided to try and was shocked how fast it clears out blemishes. I saw a review that someone was using only on spots to make them heal and it really does. I followed the directions of only using for 10 minutes and it worked. The next day the blemish size was greatly reduced and less red . I did not notice any scent that others complained about. I also use the ulta-calming mist to reduce redness

I applied this mask to my face for the first time and it was fine, then i did it a second time and WAOOOOO... the next day my cheeks are STILL red =( and a lot more sensitive than usual.
It really burned my face the second time i used it. =(

i tried this masque and all I got was an extremely raised red skin.
I have sensitive skin along with rosacea. I've tried so many different products from different skin care lines. Dermalogica works really well with my skin but I wanted to up my skin care game as I'm not getting any younger :). The first time I used this masque, my skin turned red and I had little red bumps on my cheeks - but no irritation or burning. In reading some of these reviews, many said to give it some time and try again. I gave it a go for a second time and there was less redness but still red/white bumps but that cleared up. I just used different it a third time and my skin reacted beautifully. I think that the redness and bumps mean the product is actually working as it promotes cell turnover. So, I would say keep using it unless your skin burns!

After reviewing the reviews I was excited to try this product. Unfortunately all it did was flare my skin for a couple hours. It stung and didn't see the results I was hoping.
After looking at overall reviews and hype for this product, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, all this did was leave my face irritated and super sensitive.

I love everything about this masque except the smell lingers. But it's worth it with how my skin looks and feels after.

Hi,i am a dermalogica user of several products for many years and the charcoal rescue masque was given as a sample size by my dermalogica store at LA. I have used it after cleaning my face and left for 7-8 minutes and then massaging with wet hands washed it. My face was red after washing, after 15-20 minutes it was much better then I put my moisturizer. Today it is ok but I just feel a bit hot. I didn't know the exfoliant effect before I use it. As I am blonde and have a sensitive skin which can be red very easily, I would like to ask if there is any warning for sun after using this masque, due to its exfoliant effect. I am wearing a suncare cream but I just wanted to be make sure as I will go on a holiday now. I am a bit concerned now after reading the negative comments with the redness effect. And I have one more question,as we apply this to clean face, there is no need to use a cleanser after, isn't it? Thanks1 answer
