Fantastic investment

Comments about dermal clay cleanser:

I use to have a face full of spots mostly on the sides of my chin and my fore head.
I have used so many cleansers it's unreal from foams to milks to a cleaner and exfoliator in one.
I heard great things about this product so I thought I'd give it a try.
I went to my local beauty salon and asked for a couple of samples to make sure I liked it first.
When I used the samples I noticed all my spots starting to go and scarring fading away so I went and bought the big 250 ml and it's lasted for ages! I will never use another cleanser again!!!

My personal favorite cleaner

Comments about dermal clay cleanser:

I love the tingling feeling it has when I use it in the shower, I'm not sure why it seems to be more noticeable in there! But this is the best cleaner out there, I'd say.

Comments about dermal clay cleanser:

As a middle aged adult, with both sensitive/combination skin (T-zone), who is prone to occasional break outs Dermalogica's Clay Cleanser is just right for me. It thoroughly cleanses my faces, reduces "shine" from excess oils for a good part of the day & doesn't promote acne breakouts!! As a middle aged man, THIS is one of my go to Dermalogica products.

Great for Oily Skin

By

from San Bernardino, CA

Comments about dermal clay cleanser:

The Dermal Clay Cleanser is great for oily skin. I like to use it during the summer months, along with the Special Cleansing Gel. I find it works especially well on hot summer days when having oily skin is most problematic.

Excellent for people with oily skin

By

from Ora

Comments about dermal clay cleanser:

I have oily skin with large pores within my T-Zone. I can have occasional breakouts. This is the best cleanser I have used and could not use anything else. I use this cleanser in the morning to combat my oily skin and to help with my redness. I also like to use this cleanser as a mask to really pull out any gunk that is within my skin. It also has a nice tingling feel to it.

  • Q:

How many times should i use this for my skin type?: I have just ordered this with the multi toner and active moist moisturiser. I have combination skin, but more oily around the T zone. I used the medi bac cleanser but had to stop after two weeks as it made my skin more oily and had small lumps coming out on my forehead. Will the dermal cleanser be okay to use twice a day, or should i just use it once a day?

      Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. Dermal Clay Cleanser is for extremely oily skin. If you are combination, you might prefer Special Cleansing Gel.

  • Q:

Will my anti-aging serum be absorbed if applied after using this?: I am 56 and have large pores that fill with sebum. I read clay is a good way to eliminate this problem. I use an anti-aging serum and moisturizer at night. After using this product my skin felt great but as if it had a slight feeling of having moisturizer on it already. Will my serum penetrate this or should I use this only as a mask?

  • Q:

can I alternate between dermal clay cleanser & clearing skin wash?: I am 28 yrs old. I am coming off using a different skin care regimen & wanted to try this line out. My skins completely different after my second child. I've never had this bad forehead and chin acne before. I was told to try either dermal clay cleanser or clearing skin wash. Can I alternate between both? If yes, then can I also alternate between the products in the medi bac line and oily skin line?
Asked on 4/21/2014 by Dannii from Canada

    • A:

yes completely. If you're not as oil in the morning, use the Clearing Wash, and use the Dermal clay at night. If your acne is reacting well to those cleansers, just try a spot treatment or serum from the MediBac. If you still find yourself very oily, the go ahead and use the medi every other day. Best way to get advice is go to a dermalogica skin therapist in your area, she can zone in and check your skin out and tell you exactly what you need, and there will be no confusion. :)

I alternate between all three. I also work in the ultra calming cleanser from time to time when needed.

I would recommend only using one initially. This will allow you to determine whether the product is effective. If you do not see results after some time, switch to the other product.

    • A:

If you have active breakouts, it seems like maybe you should try the medibac cleanser first. I'd try one product at a time to narrow down which cleanser is working best for me. If the first cleanser isn't helping after a couple months, then I'd switch to the other to see if that one helps. I have oily skin that tends to breakout, so I do use some products from the oil line (cleanser) and others from the medi bac line (mask). It took a little experimenting to find what works best for me, good luck!

    • A:

yes, I believe all of Dermalogica's products are designed to be used interchangeably. The Dermal Clay Cleanser is wonderful and will not be quite as intense as the Clearing Skin Wash. If you are experiencing breakouts all over then I would go with the Medibac Clearing Skin Wash; if it's only spot breakouts then I would do the Dermal Clay Cleanser with targeted treatment items on the forehead/chin area. The Dermal Clay Cleanser doubles as a mask as well!

Also - just a thought, be careful with cosmetics, detergents (on pillow cases), hairspray, etc that might be leading to breakouts, although its probably hormonal since you mentioned the flareups were after childbirth. I'm 31 years old with occasional breakouts and frequent redness; I am normal to oily with large pores. I rotate between the Special Cleansing Gel and the Dermal Clay Cleanser.

Answered on 5/26/2014 by HellOnHeels from Oklahoma, USA
    • A:

Yes, you can alternate between dermal clay cleanser and clearing skin wash. If you are experiencing breakouts we recommend to use clearing skin wash. If you have oily skin and black heads we recommend using dermal clay cleanser. All of Dermalogica's products can be used with each other. We hope this information has been helpful. Please don't hesitate to contact us again.
