Smells Awful

By

Comments about conditioning body wash:

I was super excited to try this body wash; unfortunately, it smells similar to body odor or hippy like product. It was not very moisturizing even combined with the body lotion. I had to throw it away it was very offensive.

Lathers up Surprisingly Well

Comments about conditioning body wash:

I recently bought Dermalogica's Conditioning Body Wash to use with Ultimate Buffing Cloth (BOTH first time purchases). As a man, who is prone to the occasional adult acne real out on my chest & finds it difficult to reach my entire back when showering, I'd been wanting to find a product that would adequately exfoliate my body but not be "sandpaper"-like. When I read the description & it's claim to exfoliate AND I quote leave my skin feeling silky (when applied with the buffing cloth) it sounded like an oxymoron. But, I read the reviews on both products, kept in mind my own experience with Dermalogica (which has been: what they say it does-it does) & took the leap. Once received it & the cloth arrived in the same order I used them that night & it exceeded my expectations! WoW!
Having never used anything but my hand or washcloth to lather up before, this new "combo" amazed me. I'm still talking about it... it only takes a little bit of product! Then prepare for a lot of suds & lather. I personally use it about once a week & my skin IS both exfoliated & smooth (using that buffing cloth I suppose is the key for the silky smooth part). Dermalogica: How do you do it!?

Comments about conditioning body wash:

I love this stuff. I use hot water in the winter which aggravates my eczema but using this stuff has helped it from getting worse. It's also helped with the my back and such drying out and breaking out. The smell is so relaxing and it really gets me in a good mood. I also love adding this stuff to a bath. The price cold be better for a body wash but Im hooked and have found a half a pump out the large bottle goes a long way.

I have been using this stuff for a couple of years and LOVED the way it smelled and it felt like and not like it had a lot of chemicals, but this one has a different smell and is a thicker consistency than previous ones.

No, it has a strong therapeutic smell.

      • A:

No, it has a light herbal scent. But the scent does not linger on the skin. I also am sensitive to scents. I find I can enjoy the scent during the shower but do not have to cope with it all day. This scent is not irritating for me.

      • A:

No, but the scent is fairly neutral.

Answered on 10/5/2015 by Hannalulu from Sacramento, CA, USA
      • A:

It is not scent free, but the scent is very mild in my opinion. It smells mostly of fresh lemons when you are using it in the shower, but the scent definitely does not linger on your body after you rinse it off. When I get out of the shower and smell my skin, I smell clean, but I don't smell of the body wash. Hope this helps!
